The villa decór by a well-known interior designer perfectly reflects its unique location. As a result, the elegant interiors are a combination of a relaxed country house chic with a gentle, beach house charm. The central place of the interior is dedicated to villa’s spacious open plan living room and kitchen, which offers a cozy and welcoming space for the whole family to gather. The colour palette is restrained: cream and grey with blue accents, mixed with rush-mat rugs and wicker chairs. Villa’s kitchen is a chef dream where classic features such as an Aga country-style range combine with high-end modern appliances.
Spanning off from the living room in a series of hallways and windowed corridors are 5 bedrooms – large, bright spaces oozing serene charm, their neutral colour-scheme of ecru and soft grey warmed up by the variety of patterned cushions and beautiful artwork. One of the bedrooms gives access to its own private terrace, where a two-seater table stands in the centre of a sun-filled courtyard decorated with potted plants and flowers. The refined designer bathrooms offer free-standing tubs and walk-in rain showers and are complete with thick towels and Votary toiletries.
Generous, open-plan living room features a large cream sofa and coffee table, plus two straight-backed wooden chairs in front of the fireplace. Additional seating is offered by the breakfast bar with 3 stools, meaning whoever is in charge of cooking can enjoy some company in the kitchen. There is also a small, private lounge adjacent to one of the bedrooms, complete with an L-shaped sofa and two coffee tables. Facing a lovely green inner courtyard, this is an ideal spot to escape to with a magazine and a cup of coffee when you need some peace and quiet.
This fully fitted kitchen features a range of professional equipment, including a large stainless steel Aga, electric hotplate, dishwasher, Krups Nespresso machine, wine fridge, and Smeg kettle, toaster and blender. Family meals can be enjoyed at a long dining table with six chairs, placed at the window off the living room where two wonderful banana trees stand in heavy terracotta pots. Outside on the covered terrace, there is also a big stone BBQ and a seating area with a family-sized table and six chairs (more can be added if needed), for you to take advantage of the warm summer days and enjoy your meals al-fresco.
Bedroom 1: master suite with double bed (150 x 200cm) with yellow throw cushions and headboard, two white armchairs in front of the fireplace and French windows draped with linen curtains leading onto main terrace and pool. Adjoining bathroom features free-standing tub, walk-in shower, double sinks.
Bedroom 2: spacious, bright room with double French windows and original features such as black, bird-cage style lampshades hanging on both sides of bed. 2 twin beds (90 x 200cm each) are pushed together and can be changed for a king-sized mattress (150 x 200cm). En-suite bathroom with large walk-in shower.
Bedroom 3: double bed (150 x 200cm) complete with white linen, lemon-coloured cushions and cream throw. The bedroom comes with a TV and has access to the private lounge facing courtyard with table and chairs. Lounge includes a large corner sofa and a coffee table. En-suite bathroom has a freestanding bathtub, double sinks, and walk-in rain shower.
Bedroom 4: leading off dining room and featuring double bed (150 x 200cm) complete with white sheets, cream throw and orange and white cushions. French doors lead onto main terrace and to the swimming pool. The bedroom is equipped with TV and connected to bedroom 5 (a good option for families with kids). En-suite bathroom features walk-in rain shower and double sinks.
Bedroom 5: connected to bedroom 4, featuring double bed (150 x 200cm) complete with white sheets and patterned turquoise throw cushions, TV and view of main patio and pool, walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with rain-shower and double sinks.
The central courtyard is an honor to traditional Andalucian way of life – where cooking, sleeping and socialising would all take place outside in lively shared patios. This classic Spanish feature has received elegant modern interpretation. Along with a stunning heated pool, the courtyard also offers stylish wicker sun loungers, tables and chairs – all surrounded by orange, lemon and olive trees.
A covered terrace off the living room offers pleasant shade in the hot summer months, and added comfort is provided by good-quality outdoor sofas complete with soft throw cushions – the ideal spot to relax with an evening cocktail or glass of champagne while some steaks are cooked on the barbeque.
To the rear of the villa there is a paved parking space for two cars, plus the second property’s private entrance. Also to be enjoyed in this area is a lovely mural made from the traditional Andalucian tiles, along with lavender flowerbeds and herbs, and tall cypresses stretching up into the blue skies.
